OOps must have miss heard the news report, still some crappy numbers though
Very crappy.

For those that are interested in where to get more information about this thing (other than FB), below is an email I sent to my colleagues earlier this week..

Hi everyone,

As the COVID-19 situation continues to unfold and impact on our lives in more and more ways, there are (unsurprisingly) more and more opinions, assumptions and interpretations of the information popping up from a huge range of sources. I’m sure I’m not alone in seeing my social media feeds being completely over-run by “information” from “my sister’s best friend’s neighbour who is a doctor” with varying degrees of accuracy (some of it downright dangerous). Add to this the huge array of news outlets and businesses publishing absolutely everything they can about the situation and it can become difficult to sort fact from fiction.

To that end, I just wanted to put this out there to everyone to provide a list of sources which I am personally considering “trusted.” Of course, I am not saying that everything on these pages is always going to be 100% accurate and up to date, nor that these are the only useful sources, but they certainly form a very good starting point. These are the websites which I am personally using to keep myself informed. Everything else, to me, is noise at this stage.

If you, or someone you know, is worried that you might have COVID-19 and want to know if you should go and get tested then you can call the National Coronavirus Helpline for advice on 1800 020 080. In case of an emergency situation, immediately call 000.

At first anyone would think what a pack of bastards...
What a raciest thought though, at the end of the day we are all human so who deserves the required equipment more? us more than them? them more than us? there should be no us and them at this time.
The shortage of supplies is due to a whole host of reasons but the blame lies squarely at the feet of all governments , here and overseas

This is why we are running out of much needed medical supplies
I’m not going to say what I’d love to say, but unless the Government gets onto this and future events to make it illegal it will keep happening.
There’s probably a couple of containers full of baby formula that Australian mothers cannot access also ...grrrrr

Given the time of the shipment was at the peak of our bushfire season, very questionable. Not saying we shouldn't help other countries in need, but it dose make you wonder.

Bloody bullshit situation, haven't been able to get shit tickets for 3 weeks now, gonna be on to serviettes and newspaper for the family. We miss out on Oldies hour at the local and the essential services times, however seeing we're both teachers, the time we get to the shops in the arvo is around 5pm and everything is gone. I stopped by the local this morning as I have today off, toilet paper cleaned out and Asians in masks running around frantically buying whatever they can find. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with people! Even in Italy where things are worse than bad, they still can get dunny rolls.
I just don't see where the hell they are keeping it all, surely these idiots are gonna run out of room and money soon, oh that's right, the Govt has now doubled the bum payment so they can buy more shit! Having a payment for people that have just lost their jobs, fair enough, but for the bums that have never worked or contributed, why double theirs?

Yeah same boat here... Watched two young Asian lads take out 4 of the Aldi napkin packs (1000 a pack)... I can out assume they were having a dinner party... Nothing on the shelves in woolies Coles or Aldi...

Although the wife did manage to grab a 3 pack of kitchen towel this morning so at least we have that again.

Just chopping back the Veggie pack and wondering if the pumpkin leaves will soften enough to stash in the dunny

About time they INTRODUCED MANDATORY ISOLATION for people coming into the Country, plus there checking on people that should stay at home.

This is one selfish bloody society these days...

My daughter works at Big W a couple of nights a week. Each time a group of Asians arrive with a trolley and stand out the front. 1 by 1 they come in and buy the legal quota of baby formula. Other workers report the same thing so it must happen every night. They aren't breaking the law but it stinks. Clearly as above the issue lies with the Feds.
