hey all,

Any of you older folk on here who live in a city, might be a good idea to head bush if you can, sooner rather than later. The probability of this getting way worse before it gets better are sky high and getting higher...

So how long do you head bush for?
1 month, 3 months, 6 months??

How does one just drop all their responsibilities & head bush & be able to come up with the rent & pay other bills??

Heading bush for some is just not an option & personally I would rather be in the secure environment of my home is anarchy starts.

I have enough food for 3 months, filtered water etc but unfortunately only enough toilet paper for 4 weeks  :p:)

But if I do have to escape the bedlam I could be ready to leave in a couple of hours!

Don't think its gonna get to the point of anarchy (not unless the spill over into the economy causes a crisis of confidence in govt debt). More a case that this virus is particularly dangerous for people over 70 and if i were over 70, i would want to be as far from the crowds as i could be to reduce the chances of catching it.

It reported that this virus can live on surfaces for upto 10 days, with a incubation period of 4 days. You can come in contact with a lot of sufaces and people in a 4 day period.
Question.
If you become infected, is it best to be at home or in an unfamiliar area with unknow services eg doctor or hospital ?

Was reading yesterday that Italy has halted all mortgage payments whilst they are in lock down.
More than 9,000 people have been infected by Covid-19 in Italy and there have been 463 deaths reported.

This is where it gets interesting. What i suppose you should do is self isolate at home for 5 days because if you have it, then you are correct - you want to be close to medical assistance. However, after the 5 days has passed and you are clear, then head bush so the chances of catching it are minimised.

Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.
Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?
We’ll keep the world posted and updated.
Take care of yourselves!
Hanx!

How many people die from the flu every year around the world - tens of thousands, however life goes on as normal. The way people are carrying on about this is ridiculous. The human race.....also known as lemmings!!

First hand situation, a receptionist in the medical field gets a call from a mother, "my sons is booked in to have a GA with you next week but his school has just been shut down as one of the students tested positive to Corona. I'm sure he hasn't been exposed so I was wondering if I should still bring him in for the GA?"

So the sons been sent home to be quarantined, which effectively means the whole household should be quarantined. Never going to happen! The sooner it spreads and we all get exposed the better off we'll all be.

Its is a bit more of an issue than influenza, admittedly not as bad as the Spanish Flu, I wouldn't want to be in the 3% though.

I love a good graph.

In regards to the current panic, probably the last slide is the most important one.

So the obvious questions
Why has the media gone so nuts on Corona?
what / who is driving the media hype?
Why are they ( the group / business / governments driving the hype )making such a big deal out of it and what do they have to gain from all the hype?
