Colorado / Trailblazer roof light bar

How is everyone getting the wiring up to roof mounted lights on their RG Col? I'm thinking through the back of the bonnet and up the windscreen side channel but havent seen any examples yet. Mine is 2017 Trailblazer, i want to put a light bar at the front of my rhino platform.
Cheers

straight up the windscreen against the pillar behind my snorkel.
using the proper rhino mounting kit for the c7 a dual row 40 inch fits under the pioneer tray without touching roof and a 20 inch dual row fits under the tray at the rear.
I just used 2 dabs of silicone to hold the cable in place on the windscreen and it has not moved at all.
the position of the bar at the front is perfect because it does not shine light onto the bonnet which is a problem when your vehicle is white lol

Perfect that's what I wanted to hear. Cheers.
That's a huge bar! How is it attached to the rack? I have used pioneer-led-light-bracket_43173 bolted to the underside of a crossbar on my rhino platform. I had to relocate a crossbar up front. And i went with a single row slimline bar, thought the double row was going to be a bit close. ;)
Also did you run the wiring for the rear light along from the A pillar too?

I used the legs that came with the bars and just drilled holes through the rack, amazingly enough everything lined up with the bars and the racks to drill it.

I just run a single 6mm dual core(5826-100TW) cable up the pillar and used 1 wire for the front bar and the other for the rear bar and got ground(negative) from the mounting bracket for the pioneer tray.

the bars are close but they don't hit the roof even with the tray fully loaded.

I am thinking of upgrading the rear 20 inch bar to a 40 inch one because they are so cheap now.

the dual row 40 inch wont fit between the rails at the back, it might if you custom make the mounts and lift it higher.
I just went the next size down 32 inch and it fit fine.
$60 for the 32 inch, amazing how cheap they are now my first 40 inch about 5 years ago was almost 500.

Nice one thanks for all the pics and details. I'm interested in your grounding method it sounds good, u got one more photo of that by any chance for us?
Why you need so much light down back, you reversing a boat or caravan?
Cheers

you need that rear bar for tailgaters lol.
its pretty much for camping, fishing, boat ramp etc.
you can setup a camper trailer at night without needing to turn the vehicle around and its a dead spot under the rear of the tray that can be filled for $60.
little work lights are ok but can cost more than $60 and not put out as much light.

I got the 22inch bar a year ago for 29 on special but they are the same price as the 32inch right now 44.95 + 10 postage and for that price I couldn't help myself.

Job completed finally.
I have run 3 x 25A cables wrapped in thick wall 16mm glued heatshrink, from the end of the existing harness in the engine bay to the roof where one +ve and the -ve are used for front bar, and the -ve is splice joined and extends with the other +ve along the roof platform to the rear work lights (yet to be fitted).
Next job is to paint the aerial hardware black to prevent reflection! It's probably aimed a bit low too as you can see from the photo.
This is the Stedi ST3K 41.5" single row slim.

that's the way and its hard to tell there is even a wire running up the front, best of all no holes drilled.
its the best position imo, as you see with your one it does not light up the bonnet which makes it much better to see.

this is the light throw from mine, I am just using a black stubbie truck aerial and I don't really notice it when I am driving but the best part is my white bonnet is dark.

Update. Light bar and wiring held up beautifully well on recent trip to Fraser Island. Absolutely essential after 6pm on the inland country roads imo. The shoulders were like a slaughterhouse with roos. I was able to see so much better than w/o the light bar, which meant i could actually drive at 100-110, and slow in time when i saw Skippy. Helps that i have a solid bull bar. Definitely didn't feel safe at that speed with the light bar off.
Bucketed rain too for couple days, and i did a few creek crossings and the wiring is still A-ok, front and rear.
