Climate Change - Biggest Money Making Con of the Century or Imminent Extinction of the Human Race

Worth watching

Not unless you are prepared to go deeper and find the scientist providing data completely debunking practically everything which comes out of Happer's mouth. He is the founder of the "CO2 Coalition", an oil and coal company funded propaganda outfit. The scary thing is, before he left the administration, he was probably the only person Trump had advice about climate issues from.

He not only wants the US to abandon any move towards carbon emission reduction, he is a strong supporter (read: paying- via his "sponsors" to advocate) of opening up wilderness areas for exploration.

Cheers,
Mark

Not sure. But 30 or 40 years ago, we weren't upto to date or in most cases even aware what was happening 3 or 400klm away like we are today. It's hard not to be bombbarded with minute by minute updates or to ignore the daily reports from the trouble zone with internet, mobile phones and multimedia to today.

We're all brainwashed in one way or another. Neither side of the argument is exempt from it. The true indisputable fact is there are too many people. The more people you cram into anywhere, the worse it becomes, full stop. The environment is getting worse, we're soaking up water like a sponge, deforesting large parts of globally important ecosystems and polluting the oceans at an alarming rate. I don't care about warming or cooling, the environment will react to the pressures that billions of people put on it. My opinion is you can reduce your emissions and we'll still kill the place. We have to reduce the amount of people. The aboriginals were smart enough to do it for thousands of years. Barbaric and unpalatable really, but nature will do it for us.

You’ve hit the nail on the head. A big problem is many see humans as being separate from the ecosystem when we are an integral part of it, and in the numbers we exist with the technology we have now, also having a big influence on it.

There’s a lot of info out there, no doubt. We need to be able to sort the poo from the clay. Knock off the extremes and you’ll end up with a generally accepted position.
