Check your injectors

Did you use the standard injectors or injectors direct from manufacturer?

New Siemens injectors, they also had the option for rebuilt ones. Mine went back to be recycled.

I will be replacing mine at 180,000k. Like someone said before $1k for injectors or $10k for a motor. Maybe more if you need a remote recovery after it let's go.

Old school mechanic is my guess. Some find it hard to adapt to new vehicle tech.
My current, and past, owner’s manual both said to only change the fuel filter when the warning light on the the dash came on. Guess the manufacturer’s know a thing or two about their vehicles

For what a new fuel filter costs me, I'll continue replacing mine every 10,000km, thanks.
It's cheap insurance in my book and it definitely can't do any harm.

Go for it, knock your socks off, but not needed and not without risks. Each to their own.

I have been advised from several mechanics not to change the fuel filter to regularly as it creates possible contamination from cracking the system open, I have been advised every 30,000 is fine unless you have a dirty fuel or water issue, I'm not to concerned about either
