So what day are people leaving Sydney? Any plans for a convoy?

Nothing has been set in stone as yet mate. As Wang and I will be heading the same way we'll probably head up together and probably pick Ian up on the way past Newwy. As for what time we'll leave Sydney, that hasn't been arranged either, but you're more than welcome to join me at least. That would be a very big days drive for you though mate.

Um.. bit of bad news. Not sure if we're going to make this trip as planned. Our schedule has been held up a few times due to work to both the camper and car and rectification of the shocking job done on the camper. We are now in Alice Springs waiting for parts for both.

F'n peed off about this, but it leaves a spot open for someone able to short plan a long trip.

Really sorry about the late notice.

We will do our best to be in the area when you guys are there.

Missing a few things around here that we had earmarked due to the trailer, but had planned on returning. Just a Bummer that it's holding up our plans for the Cape trip.

Must be super frustrating mate but im sure once its sorted you'll look back and put it all down to experience, maybe even get a chuckle from it.

I really hope you make the cape mate as im sure many forumites do also.

Not taking it to heart. Very happy that the company that worked on it is happy to pay for all the repairs and changes up here.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :( :( :(

And that's how YOU feel. Imagine trying to explain to the kids that they may not get to see Marlin!!!

Sounds good Jase.

We're still hoping to be in the area, just depends on when we get out of here and how that affects our next destinations. The only reason to do the cape now is to do it with you guys, so if we can't make the meet or be in enough time to catch up then we won't even head that way.

I totally understand and knowone misses Ian lets face it. He does have a delightful other half so many people put up with him for that reason.

You would be ok still do the Cape even alone there will be plenty of others around and we always end up with more trucks in convoy than when we start. Once your at Bramwell there will be other people to join up with it and it happens all the time other people in the same situation.

Hahahahahaha she actually dumped me a week before my birthday last month. Good to know though!

Cloug,h I'm coming home via the coast road so if it all turns to shit I might be able to meet you somewhere on the way home? Or will you be further inland? Would happily drive a few hundred k's out of my way if it brought a few smiles to your family.

Hey Jase. Do you have an idea what UHF you might be going to use? That way we can listen out for you all when you get to Cape Tribulation.

Thanks mate.

Just a thought for those traveling inland on the way. Are you going to stop at the dinosaur fossil thing near Winton in QLD?

I was probably gunna swing by Longreach so Winton isn't too far out the way. I will have the time, is it worth a look Roger?
