Looking for suggestions to fit out my canopy to head back up to the stations, I’ll be removing the masa drop down fridge slide and replacing with fridge/freezer draws 695mm (L) x 440mm (W) x 260mm (H), but looking for ideas around pull out pantry and drawers that will fit as it’s quite narrow 1490x90hx50

These Oates style drawers are very handy and hard to beat IMO. I notice that a lot of the pro fitout companies use them as well

I agree, but can you still buy them anywhere? Bunnings don't have them anymore, and every online source is sold out. The Bunnings alternative are thinner plastic and pretty weak in comparison to the Oates versions - I have some of them too, relegated to shed storage.

I have the Oates drawers in my canopy but could use a couple more, I've given up trying to find them.

Yes I know. Oates was bought out by the other big mob
I found an equivalent one from Big W that seem just as good and have bought them for my new canopy https://www.bigw.com.au/product/hou...qMc_BwChoEODGx6-U2xoCZ0sQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Keep the dog box and buy a canopy 900mm longer. Not great use of space there. Then you’ll have decent storage/kitchen options.

Ans an excellent way to snap the chassis in half, although have never heard of a 70 series having chassis issues.
is there an issue anyone knows about with the 70 chassis similar to other utes

It’s better to have all the weight between the wheels as best as you can, than away from the wheels

The reason the box is set back there is to allow the spare tyres to be up against the headboard rather than at the back of the tray, the water tank is a slimline headboard tank at the front of the canopy and my fridge is straight behind that.

Well, whatever you try, make sure you attach it with Velcro and/or "Command" removable adhesive - because you know that whatever you decide to install today, by next week you will decide it's all wrong and you can't live with it and need to change it...

Ain’t that the truth, I am up to about revision #7 which is probably back close to #1 o_O You are constantly looking for a better way of doing things

I have a gap between the headboard and the dog box, its where I fit all my water and fuel jerries. The fridge is in the front left of the dog-box and the tool box in the front right.
Chassis hasn't failed yet, only 200000km, so there is still time.

For the pantry, I use stackable 30L plastic tubs with clip on lids. You can fit a fair amount in them, but still be easily handled by one person to drag them out or stack them in the back in or leave just them out as they are weather resistant and animals can't get in.

Upgrade will be a drop down fridge slide and a single wide draw beside it so the stacked tubs can be slid out the side, just to make access that little bit easier.
I already have a ply divider down the middle of the dog box so that the kitchen is on one side and all the other crap goes on the other.
