Back then as a young bloke with five kids we used to do a lot of camping along the Murray river. We started back of Strathmerton and later on all along the Murray. We would join up with many other family and friends, bit like today and after a day of swimming, boating, fishing, we would sit around the camp fires enjoying a few sherberts.
We did make our own entertainment, no one really played loud music, instead we had good sing a longs and at the end of this video you will hear some of us singing good old country songs. My brother and I sang "The fatal Wedding" one particular night, however it was not filmed, luckily and it is all now a distant memory..

Great clip. I use to love camping along the Murry as a kid. (50 years ago). Water was super clean, fish were plentiful and big and there was no rubbish or dropkicks around. Great memories.
