Hi there Everyone,

We're planning to take the kids on an educational trip down to Canberra during the April school holidays.

Any suggestions on somewhere to camp in the area that's worthwhile ?

Thanks in advance !

Wee Jasper is a great spot to camp with heaps of really nice spots along the river, then go into Camberra/ACT via Doctors flat Rd which will take you through the Brindabella ranges and into Uriarra- from here head into Canberra.

Or if you are feeling adventurous and dontmind a heap of dirt driving:
From Wee Jasper head out through Wee Jasper State forrest, follow Wee Jasper rd through to brindabella Rd and follow this all the way through to Uriarra.
This will take you through Wee Jasper/Billapaloola/Bondo State forrests and straight accross the main part of the Brindabella Ranges.

Walkabout.. thanks for this Wee Jasper looks great. According to some sites it's an hour's drive from here to Canberra.. is that correct ?

Yeah about that would seem right .. maybe a little longer.
If you take the second route option it would take a few hours.
