Hi All.

Just wondering what the camping is like at Pineapple Flat, on the King River. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
As I was thinking of heading up that way over Easter weekend, with the missus and 4 kids.
Can camp totally self suffient etc, also notices some small more remote camp areas along the river.

Cheers for Now

Pineapple Flat is a great spot for camping and as you said has the King River to two sides.

The main way in is via Mt Stirling via some nicely formed tracks and the only real excitement there is the riiver crossing into the site with the lack of rain shouldn't be too exciting at Easter.

The best camp spots are near the river where it tends top be flatter but the balace is on a bit of a slope.

Remember the rules for camp fires must be in a pit and a max of !m by !m. You will most likely be checked on this and if you are outside the maximum you will be fined. Park also prefer the existing fire pits to be used so use some common sense.

The best part of this area is that due to the river crossing no 2 wheelers so should make the area less crowed that say Sheepyard or Frys Flat.

Enjoy your Easter break
