buyer beware, especially with ebay, you don't know what you bought is what you actually get.

Polyairs/ airbags are a great thing to buy overseas.

Delivered to your door for about a 1/3 of the local price.

Just have to be careful who you buy from but there are plenty of great US companies that are happy to ship overseas.

With the strong Aussie$ now is the time to spend.

Cheers

same thing with ARB air lockers half price:mad: even after mail price from the usa:D go figger that out:confused:

They are the copies of ARB, (no where near as strong or well made as the real ARB ones)if you bought one, ARB would most probably like to hear from you, as there is a large law suit happening about them right now.

from USA u can get original ARB air leakers made in Australia cheaper than here due to quite a few were bought from here when our $was low and now our $ is strong we buy them back:)

i know for a fact they are genuine cause one of my mates bought 2 for his hilux

from china u can get the even cheaper air leakers and they leak as much as the Australian made ones

Buying parts from overseas are ok but made sure the quality equal of better than OEM for the vehicle. Some parts like CV's are cheap on eBay but break much easier than the OEM. Go for a company that has a good return policy and high satisfied rating

hey croozza it is a well none fact that arb send there product to the usa and sell them for a lot cheaper than we can get here for, hopefully that large law suit is to stop arb from ripping of the australian public now dont get me wrong i do not blame the local retail store as they are bound in there prices i blame the company for forgeting the little man that helped them get were they are!!!!!!!!!!

When buying from o/s just make sure you do the sums to be sure you are going to save as much as you think and remember you get no easy over counter back up over here and can get stuck, I see it all the time with people buying motorcycle parts and getting the wrong bits or faulty bits.
The guy in the shop next door got a crank for his bike from the US and it ended up costing him alot more than if he had got it from the dealer out here.
I also had a customer who got a CDI box for his bike in from the UK and it ended up costing him three times the price he paid for it.
these are just in the last month and only a few of the ones I have seen loosing out.

Some things I tell and remind people who are going to buy O/S to allow for and to remember they have paid for.
Freight { how it is sent by courier or post can make the difference to how much it cost you in the end}
Import duty if it gets checked
import fees if it gets picked for duty
insurance is a must
GST if it gets picked
international bank transfer fees
Quarantine check if choosen
these can more than double your purchase price

So just do the sums and besure to allow for all the costs that you may get caught with to be sure it is worth it and ALL WAYS HAVE IT INSURED.
And remember when you import your parts you could have got out here you have the cost a job out here in the industy:rolleyes:

I hear you with the pricing, but there are cheap copies coming out of China with all of the same ARB packaging. If you look on the 4wdtv site you may find the thread on this, could also be in one of the episodes that you can find on this site.
