Take it with a grain of salt regarding winter reopenings. The BHP rd was listed as open on the planned November date but in fact the heavy falls kept it closed for another couple of weeks or so. Doesn't happen often though.

I notice a lot of the High Country tracks closed May 1 this year, they ones that generally don't open till the end of November. The season is getting shorter and shorter.

Doesn't surprise me as when I looked at the emergency.vic map there are 2 fires both starting beside the dangongadale track which just seemed a bit of a coincidence.
