We are taking the kids up to bundaberg/Bagarra for a week in January and was wondering if anyone knows if there are any beaches that we can go on or even camp on for a couple of days ?

Only 4 sleeps to Christmas fella's and i know because the 2 youngest kids are counting down
Cheers Willie :D

Don't forget to go to the Bundy Rum Distillery, Royal Liquor, yummmmmmmmmm!
you can only buy it from there, and it is worth every cent.

Hey Willi, Kin Kuna (Burrum Coast) is a good spot (track available on 4x4earth), Deepwater National Park is another good spot both can be checked out on EPA website. Hope this helps, Enjoy your stay mate

woodgate (half way between childers and bundy) which has the north shore of burrm heads, thats nice, not sure on the bugs though.
theres also a caravan park there, which you can also venture out from there through kin kuna and north shore tracks etc.

Another shout for Kinkuna. Camping right next to the beach. Fantastic beach for young kids. The access to it can be soft but it keeps 2wds out of there - it can be a bit crowded on long weekends etc... bug spray a must.

So the track in reasonable condition in from woodgate as we are staying there from next saturday for a week ?
Sometimes the its closed due to wet weather. Cant tell you the currant status of the track, though its a local playground so probably boggy in sections.

There is a new ranger in kinkuna. The southern access track from Woodgate is permanently closed. You would need to drive around to Coonar. I was up there last weekend. Nice grave dig too btw - 9 yo thread.
