Hi Guys have not been on forsome time have been in hospital for a back operation slowly recovering. But went out to Bunnings today and as you do i didnt go via the local streets and being a little cautious as im still extremly sore from operation i took a line that i would not normally take and got hung up a little on the towbar no biggy got off with no problems but when i pulled up in bunnings car park i noticed that i had damaged the rear bar / cover nothing that cant be fixed but finally made me make my mind up to build a custom rear bar to help with the angle issuses as well as adding a bit of strenght. Im looking for any photos comments, plans or just opinions anyone has.

Chech out lcool.org (just signup if you haven't already) - there are a lot of people building rear bars for themselves and there are some very interesting variations.

Cheers

Macksville's in Victoria? My rear bar is indestructable but I have bugger all pics of the manufacture and no plans. It was built 1 Saturday arv with lots of experiments and beer. It's basicly a peice of 120mm x 75mm x 4mm RHS. It's cut and wrapped around the back and sides. he 1/4 panels hve been chopped to allow the bar to go underneath. It uses the original mounting points and 2 new ones each side, behind the rear wheel. It has been "tested" on numerous occasions and has not budged!!:rolleyes:

There are some picy's on my photobucket thingy. If ya got any questions, just ask me.
