Welcome aboard, chancar and here about the track. I may be down visiting the outlaws and friends later in the year.

I live in Brisbane at present but head south to Sydney to catch up mainly with friends. I haven't done the track but interested in doing some to them when in the area. May even move back down there in the future

Ah Funny, I've just moved from Bris to Sydney due to my and my wife's work. Loads of places in QLD to visit though, so will miss it. We went to Sundown NP a month or so ago, it was pretty tough going but we got to Burrows Waterhole in a Nissan Patrol but had some hairy moments!!!. If I do the Bridle track this weekend, I will report back next week!

The bridle track is a nice run do it early in the day to lessen the risk of meeting trafic coming the other way.
I posted a thread on it a while ago if you look in the search under bridle track and look for the one started by Blue Dog it has some images of the track.
Don't do it if it is raining.

Hi all,
A small group of us done the Bridle track and the Turon Gates track last weekend had a great time doing them it was my first time out there the other two cars i went with had been there before Bridle track was pretty straight forward compared to the Turon Gates capertee drive where the road turns into a goats track in the middle section but still was great fun and cant wait to get back out there again soon. Also on that weekend we also done the Blackfellows hand trail of the wolgan rd at wallerawang that was fun but was done in the dark would love to do it next time in the daylight. Thanks David:)

bridal path and royal hotel...

Cheers for the info BMurray2250!!!,

you are a gentleman and a scholar. we have had a bit of rain in Sydney this week, not sure how the track is after some rain, or even if it has actiually been raining in Bathurst /Hill End area.

Also I tried to get accomodation in the Royale hotel in Bathurst, but no response from them and the phones were not being picked up, - is it still open?

cheers..
