I'll make a trip to the tip when I'm back.

It definitely is a compromise of what's needed and what's wanted.

70kgs of tools!! Was he going to rebuild it from the ground up mid trip

Wonder how they increased the GVM from 3100 to 3600 without upgrading the axles? Front axle is rated at 1450 and rear at 1910 for a total axle load of 3360.

This is the grey area with all GVM upgrades and manufacturers warranty
They upgrade the suspension, do a swerve test, it passes, GVM upgraded.
Then a diff or any other part of the driveline fails and the manufacturer simply stated oh well it’s been used outside of our specifications, no warranty and onus is on the customer

Just did 8 hrs to Augathella in the BT50 loaded to GVM with the canopy pushing wind. Sitting on 115 kph for 12.5 odd L/100. The extra few kph pushes it up a bit.

Funnily enough I had that thought after weighing it. The lovells website state that the rear axle is now rated at 2150kg. My thought is if it was that easy to upgrade it then wouldn't they do it off the shop floor. Tradies and campers would be all over it.

It's the same with the GCM. Mine is rated to 6200kg but if the owners before me chose to add the upgraded cooling package the GCM gains 700kg . .

So far I'm getting 13.8 L/100KM on average sitting on 110. If I sit on 100 it drops to around 12.5L/100km
