Battery chainsaws

Extra tool accessories are only important IF you need them, isn't life funny, first post was I need something light to carry that can cut up small stuff in the desert where only small fires are needed. ( no large wood anyway) Now we need a 58 volt best ya can get chain saw.
When I am in any desert situation regardless of temperature I always only have a very small fire because wood is a very valuable commodity.
The only difference between a big fire and a small fire is the distance you sit from it

i have a milwaukee saw with every other tool as well ( When my son used my money to buy power tools he bought Milwaukee. When he used his own money he bought pnasonic!)

its great around home for stuff around here but i found it took up too much space in the back for camping so i bought a 10 inch bar ryobi which is enough for campfires

Mind you when i go to the high country the Stihj petrol farm boss is coming!

The milwaukee went alright track clearing out the back of coffs though ( just s short detour up here for lunch wasn't it trip leader!)

If someone wants to make a good 18V, then they can. Dont be fooled by the higher voltage marketing. 18V is MORE than bloody enough. The inside cells are usually rated very high for cont and burst amps and if they parallel cells a low voltage battery can dish out high wattage! Volts or amps, it dont really matter coz your energy density will be the same and limited by the pack size anyway. Makita, Milwaukee, dewalt all the way. Wouldn't even waste time on other cheaper brands. You want brands that use good cells that are used by men. I'd be looking for the largest capacity you can get and preferable using 21700s becuase they have alot less IR than the 18650s. Amazing cells. 3 battery packs minimum because in real world you must take into account aged cells and poor conditions.

the twin 18v battery units (36v) are far superior to the single 18v units in all tool types I have used
