Any compact jack recommendations for a 78 Series ?

Have just busted my standard Toyota bottle jack, 50km north of Broken Hill. Easy sealed road, & had just pulled off to check a Telstra signal.
Anyway, VERY disappointed with the cast eyelet breaking off when trying to change a rear tyre - & if I hadn't a Hi Lift on-board, would have been awkward.
I do like to carry a second jack though, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a Troopy-suitable replacement. Something small would be good, & I did find the Toyota awkward use - even before it gave up the ghost. (& I now have little confidence in the propriety-supplied unit I'm afraid.)

Id grab a small bottle jack, shouldnt need a real big one and should be similar size the the toyota jack. Might do the same myself.

I carry a standard toy jack as well as a hydraulic one. Never had an issue with the standard one other than as you say it is awkward to use.

8000kg rated bottle jack is just right. You could get away with smaller but it's hard work to lift her with less.

Yep agree, you can get better quality and go the next size up....

Btw... the Hi-Lift has got me out of trouble twice now, but prefer a bottle jack where I can.
