Rat`s deserting a sinking ship.
Obviously you, and a few others, believe in 'guilty until proven innocent'...People seemed to love her, sending her flowers etc. She lost her job for corruption.
Can’t they see that
Maybe one of the best not just betteras a politician she comes across as one of the 'better ones'.
Put your red flag away for bit and use some common sense. How well do you think she could carry on as Premier whilst this is all going on? How many questions do you think she would get about covid at a covid press conference. How well do you think the state could move forward whilst the media is rampant with their repetitive "gotcha" questioning? She resigned. She wasn't forced out. That indicates something, assuming she wouldn't resign for no reason at all. The same goes for Barilaro.
ICAC has done nothing to destroy her career, Gladys resigned on her own with no one forcing her hand. If you think ICAC shouldn't be looking at her as a person of interest given what went down with Maguire you are deluded. If they didn't they wouldn't be doing their job.ICAC may find she has a case to answer, I doubt it, but what it has done is destroy her career
Agree that it would've been difficult for her to remain as premier.Put your red flag away for bit and use some common sense. How well do you think she could carry on as Premier whilst this is all going on? How many questions do you think she would get about covid at a covid press conference. How well do you think the state could move forward whilst the media is rampant with their repetitive "gotcha" questioning?
At a different time she may have been able to weather it out but not in the current crisis. She has taken the only decent course of action.
his religious beliefs are not relevant to whether he can do the job providing he goes down the path a conscience vote for any matter that may be influenced by his beliefs. Now we have a fruit cake christian nutjob running thing`s.
Let`s all go back too the 50`s, yea har.
Don't agree, any decision that his religious beliefs will influence such as end of life rights, abortion same sex marriage etc will go to a conscience vote so his opinion will be one of many, as it should be.What he believe`s will influence every decision he make`s for the state.
It he`s already said he doesn`t think abortion should be legal.
No same sex marriage, as you say climate change.
Nope sorry fruit cake special.
Was that unions or religion doing the heavy lifting there? If it wasn't for Christian 'do gooders' influencing government policy, we wouldn't have one of the best social welfare systems in the world, then there is the homeless shelters, soup kitchens, lifeline services etc etc. All the good things done by religious organisations are forgotten in the anger generated by the bad things that have happened in churches or schools, unfortunately. The good ones do things for the benefit of their fellow man generally, so let's hope the new guy is one of those.
Just waiting if a few here support the same principles they have been exhorting recently. How much integrity? Not as much as some it may seem
