Hi to all
Was introduced to 4x4Earth by a friend "Barney" and told to look out for Poolman84 and his trips. Live at Craigmore and looking for adventure.
Look forward to some trips in the very near future.

G'day Richard. Good to see more Sth Aussies on here. Welcome and enjoy. I'm not all that far from you and another mate with a Jackaroo is even closer.

Hi and thanks for the welcome.
Will post some pics soon (I hope).
Have seen some of the pics from the recent trip to Morgan quarry and conservation park, looks like it was a lot of fun.
Trying to see if I can organise to go to Loveday for the planned trip or at least for a day.
Look forward to more of everything

Richard

Hi Richard. Welcome to the site. Lots of good info, and many knowledgable and helpful people willing to help you find the answers to any queries.

We a building up quite a few members around this general area now. At some stage we will hopefully meet each other out on the tracks.

I have become quite interested in the parks in the north west corner of Victoria. We are closer to them than the Melbournians, and there are plenty of tracks out their that are in remote, wilderness country. If you like that sort of stuff.

Can be done in a weekend trip. Am heading out next weekend in that direction with a mate - Friday night somewhere around Pinarroo, next night further east in the Wyperfield Park, and home mid arvo Sunday. So there is another idea for a trip where a few of us could get together.

Cheers, Millsy.

Hi Millsy
Have lived in Mildura for a while and still do regular trips up that way, have spent a fair bit of time in the national parks all round there, Hattah-Kulkyne, Mallee Cliffs and plenty of mates properties that can scare the pants off you, all in good fun mind you.
We have a lot of good tracks within a short (4 hour) drive from here and all worth a good look at, but it does get me down a bit with the fees charged just to drive in the gate sometimes only to find its rubbish. But I guess the Government needs the money.

Love Mildura! Hope its still going well. Every time I pass through I am amazed by the changes from the time before. New industries going up every where. Hope the drought and the Murray problems are not hitting it too hard, but I suppose they are.

Many good memories of my visits to the Mildura Gliding Club over the years for their annual regattas. Always a lot of fun. Hope they are still going strong out at the club.

I am gradually working my way through some tracks a bit closer to Adelaide. I have done the Border Track, between Pinaroo and down to Red Bluff. Milmed Rock Track, Broadies track, and a few tracks in the top half of the Wyperfield Park. Also a bit through the western side of the Sunset Country - the South Bore Track which runs north/south, coming out just west of Murrayville.

Want to do a few more tracks through the Sunset Park - Pheney's Track from SA through to Rocket Lake and south from Rocket Lake down to the Mallee highway. Plus a few more tracks around the top end of the Big Desert.

Always looking for tracks out that way because I go over to Geelong twice a year to see the 'kids', and bought the fourby to make these trips less boring. Seems to be going to plan so far!

Have you done much exploring between Mildura and Broken Hill. Am thinking about doing the Darling River crawl some time, and it could be in the next couple of weeks if things fall into place. Will have to see what happens. Am wondering if there are any good side trips on the way up that road?

Cheers, Millsy.
