Hi all, fairly new 53 yo kid here, wife and i have been dabbling in some of the easier tracks/roads around Glenmaggie where we have a van/basecamp.
About to gear up with a new D Max (currently in a 2016 Navara) and start to venture a bit further. Bot far from hardcore off-roaders but want to start clocking up some experience.

Any suggestions/advice for tracks around Licola/Walhalla/Moroka/Dargo that wont leave us stranded would be well received :)

Best way to check track conditions compared with your set up and expectations is to get a topographical map.
Be careful of anything that is really steep and anything that has multiple river crossings unless doing a trip in summer, rivers rise quickly in the HC and tracks get slippery with rain.
Be careful of tracks around Walhalla and the Thompson dam , most tracks around Dargo are pretty well maintained so easy enough with a bit of experience and a decent 4wd. Also best to travel with someone just in case there are any issues
