I would question that . I bought the parts required.
GM-98037543 seal to go around injectors (4 of them about 27 bucks each ) GM-97945338 engine cover seal (1of them )
Costing a total of $162.70 Trade price . No way in the bloody world would I do that job for $100 with shop rent . Sounds like your going to have oil leaks .

I've done a few heads over the yrs.
Never popped injectors to do tappets.
Unless retipping them if dribbling, or lapping the valves..
It's just normally. Injector pipes if over rocker. or leak off pipes.
Rocker cover off Check tappets. Shims etc.
New rocker gasket. replace lines. bleed if had to,
then kick it over.
Or are they different.
My Patrol did over 300k and never had then done.
I could be wrong. I'll dig out rec'ts and check.oK.
Maybe $270 plus.(parts?)

You simply don't understand this JOB. The injector seals and rocker gasket part numbers I listed here stop oil getting out of your rocker cover . The injectors on this engine pass through the rocker cover and you should not reuse these seals as heat makes them rather Hard compared to new . Genuine workshop manual says pacifically to replace these seals each time the rocker cover is removed.

Too complex for even simpler things.
I'll check back on him when he comes off shift. (mines)

But my jobs from him,
are normally trade for parts and cash for labour
jobs.
He does the works in off weeks from main job.
To pay for his new car, caravan and things for missus.
plus an ex shooting\fishing\sailing mate..
And his "shop rent"
Is double garage and pit on side of house. He only does mates.
Think I might go round to Seals and bearings with one old one.
See what they carry.
We always did that for things on the boats and machinery.
Fraction of the prices normally. Same items.
Just need MFG's Pt No for items. not dealers.

Incl all seals apparently.

ebay has them for about $10 that's were I got mine from .
For a 2014 MUX? Never seen a workshop manual for a current model Dmax or MUX. Would love a link if you have one. Gave up searching.
