Hi all,

I'm getting a 2nd gen 4Runner off a mate for a first rig, and am searching around for add-ons to put on it so I can take it offroad. Struggling to find things like bullbars and snorkels specifically for the 2nd gen 4Runner is Australia so I was wondering if add-ons for the Ln106 Hilux would fit on the 4runner since they are practically the same body style?
It's a 1990 model with the 2.8 3L diesel and five-speed box, only 280,000 on it as well!

Thanks,
Hugh

I believe mechanical parts are the same or similar, no body panels are interchangeable tho, even if they look the same. I think bull bars can be modified to fit, as do snorkels etc. You will require some basic skills to measure, cut,& weld etc but it can be done.
You should join the 4runner forum, they will know pretty much everything about it.

Ok, thanks you for the link.
Would you kn how hard would it be to modify a Raslarr comp bar for a Ln106 so it could fit on my 4Runner?

You would have to carefull measure the chassis rails, distance apart, location of mounting bolt holes etc of both vehicles to know if it will fit, But, it may only require making new brackets. I cant see a bar manufacturer making a new design for very similar vehicles, when it can have one bar with different brackets to fit it to various vehicles. . . especially back then.
