Well a bit of water has passed under the bridge since last here, and two motorhomes , and a new bus now a 4x4 7 speed last of the trannie case V6 jobs LWB dual wheel 5 toner Mercedes Sprinter... Not a real 4x4 by any means , but hopefully will just get me away a bit further from the maddening crowds when free camping with the body lift for a bit more clearance.

What winches are in vogue nowa a days ...??? Dem yeller ones look pretty ... Sherpa;, Runva still up there , keep hearin warn is just a fancy name ...??? Smittybuilt look to break at the drop of a hat ...

Was thinkin of fitting one to the sprinter for the hell of it , prolly only use it on some other goose , but ya never know, neva had one , so last hurrah ... ;-)

When we were considering a 4x4 Sprinter I'm fairly sure it had a greater stock clearance then my stock 2013 Hilux. Never looked at approach and departure angles though because we wanted traction not a rock climber.

Like other vehicles not all Sprinter bars could accommodate a winch and there wasn't as much choice in bars either.

Personally I'd throw my dollars at under body protection (especially in a LWB) and recovery points before a winch.
