2018 Triton MQ GLS Weekend Warrior

G’day Guys

After pondering about making a thread documenting my (slow) build, I thought I’d bite the bullet and give it a crack. I should note; this is my first 4x4 and my knowledge is fairly basic and has largely been gained over the internet rather than real life experience. But I guess we have to start somewhere!

Good Points
Good mix between everyday driver / weekend warrior
Low height – great for car parks/garages
Rooftop tent set up

Bad Points
Rear tonneau cover (hard to access rear of tub)
Would love more power
Carpeted floor

What mods have you done?
BFgoodrich T/A KO2 (31" I believe)
Safari Snorkel
Ironman 4x4 Rear Protection/Tow Bar
SCFabworks Tub Rack
Custom Tonneau Cover
23Zero RTT
Kickass Heavy Duty Fridge Slide
*Not mods but I carry basic recovery kit and Uniden UH850S 5 Watt (hand held)

What mods are on the list to do?
Steel Bullbar (Tossing up between Ironman/ARB, budget depending)
Dual Battery
Low profile roof rack
2x3 metre awning
Rear water tank to sit over wheel arch (Ironman/Dunn & Watson)
1” suspension upgrade (due to added weight)

Why did you buy this vehicle?
Great value and perfect for my intended use

How often do you go off-road?
1-2 month

What will your next vehicle be?
Landcruiser Troopy!

Few shots showing different stages of the rack/tonneau/fridge slide. The tub is still prone to dust and rain, so I have to keep a close eye on the slide and regularly lube it!
