Oh MY GOD - we are finally back home. Got in 6ish last night (Friday). It was a trip of truly mammoth proportions but we had an absolute ball. O'Tooles was everything we had hoped for and more.
Grumpy & All the other organizers you did a fantastic job. We have decided to do a meetup in SA next year and are open for suggestions of what you would like to see, but that's a whole different thread.
Oh Grumpy you may need to edit the casualty list. Seems we lost a bolt from the the top of the RR shock so had to remove it altogether and came home on 3 shocks.
Must say we were proud of our Lil Ekki - she stood proud amongst the bigger boys and tackled everything we through at her with ease.
Had a Blast.
Trip report asap - but it may be a long one.
I'll also let everyone know when I get all the pics sorted, if you like any of them pm me and I will send you the full resolutions.
Looking forward to next time we can all catch up.

Were home at last (Saturday lunch time) after a round trip of 3,500 kms (You BEAT US YOBBO!) & TOTALLY ZONKED!

How stupid can you get volunteering to take a mate 4wding through Murry Sunset NP & Hattah-Kulkyne NP AFTER O'TOOLES?. On the first day it was as hot as hell WITH MORE DUST - It was 40 Deg C at 11 pm:eek:

ONE MORE PROBLEM Grumpy - One hour out of Sydney the Engine Management light came on (It's ALWAYS the fuel filter) & I stopped to clear the filter & CLEAR THE CODE - ALL POWER went out on the vehicle:mad: After a quick check the earth strap to the battery was tightened.

Give us a DAY or maybee a WEEK OR TWO'S REST & we will be on the next trip:D

Hey guys,
We beat you by one day. You sound like you did the trip we were thinking of doing home initially. We headed for the Otways where it was nice and cool. Then home along the Coorong with a quick play in the sand. We also did 3500km on this trip so looks like Yobbo was the distance winner.
Can't wait to catch up again - I've downloaded ICE but am yet to have the time to play with it but ASAP.
Did the Ekki stats
Fuel wise she sucks - on average 20.49ltr/100km
And what was really weird was she gets better fuel economy working the dirt tracks and back roads than she does on the highway. Guess we know where her heart lies and it's not on the bitumen.

And as a gem of information to be stored away somewhere, The Bowerbird of Northern Australia collects WHITE!

What blokes will do to attract "Birds" so to speak :D

Great photo's.

And the orchid as well.

Always learning - hope that info. didn't push something important out of my head. There's a limit you know!
