G'day all, watching the threads from the interstate guys (SA & NSW) about their planned trips down to Talbotville is getting me itching to head out and do some tracks sooner rather than later, i was thinking of possibly heading straight from work, in the eastern suburbs on Wednesday night to camp at McAlister River Camp Site, and head out and do Billy Goats on my way to Talbotville, would anyone else be interested? otherwise i stick to the black stuff

I must say, I am looking forward to this trip. Was looking at pics of the talbotville campsite. Had all my 4x4 experiences in sa,nsw,wild deserts, flinders ranges etc.
Never camped on grass before...... lol.

You will find out what steep is too by the look of it & get hooked like the rest of us.

looking forward to it, there are some steep tracks here in the flinders but nothing with the height of the Vic alps. I better bring the good camera.

You will love it, they dont even compare to the flinders - some tracks you will climb longer than a whole track in the flinders!
