First time doing doing the wheel hubs on my1983 60 series landcruiser and I realised I used molygrease ep3% to pack the bearings. Is this okay? Or should I re do it with high temp bearing grease?
It’s a project car so won’t be driven too often - will be taken on the odd long distance trip...
So what are my mounting options then? I guess I'd have to wait until I have a rear draw setup and mount it behind that or something?
It's just that I've seen other people mount compressors under those cup holders
Hello,
I have an early model Dual Kings air compressor that I'd like to hardwire into my vehicle, and I'm looking for some advice on the best mounting options. It's quite a large unit, and I've managed to fit it into the second battery slot, but it comes into contact with some rubber pipes, and...
Hi,
Im changing out an ugly switch connected to my spotlights, replacing it with an OEM style push switch but I have one question regarding the wiring.
The wiring coming from the new OEM style switch is much thinner than the wiring in the harness. Is this safe? I don’t want to burn down my car...
I was driving my 2012 GX prado when it randomly lost power and turned off.
After manually pumping the fuel filter, the car would start and would run for a minute or so, and thereafter it would die again. What is causing this issue? Any advice is appreciated!

Yes it is a 2H.
I tried changing the fuel filter (+ bled the air out) which didn’t seem to help.

I will replace the drive belts tomorrow and check the things you mentioned above.
I see the previous owner did some...
Thanks for the reply! I did use a multimeter.
It was at 12.7v with the car turned off.
When I start the car, it seemed like it was slowly charging - the votlage climbed by 0.01v every second (it would eventually reach ~14v if it idled long enough).
When I turned the lights on the volts declined...
Hi,
Having some charging issues.
As shown in the video, when I start the car the voltage climbs slowly by 0.01v. It then starts to drop when I turned on the high beams + indoor light. Towards the end of the video, when I start revving it, the charge climbs back up.

I just removed my radiator on a HJ60 series 1983 LandCruiser. It looks like a stock radiator and some of the fins are damaged. It has a 2H engine (manual)
what are my options?
Do I order a cheap eBay radiator? Otherwise I see a new radiator would be 1000$+
can I just reuse the old one?

What a fair price for a second hand chrome 60 series front bumper.
Ive heard they can be rare to find, but not sure what they're actually worth?
Has some surface rust.

Hi,
Looking to install some rear air bags in the coils. The kit doesn’t come with specific instructions for the vehicle - how would I go about removing the rear coils on a 2022 150 prado?
Is this possible in your driveway with jack stands or should I get it done professionally.
thanks
Hi,
Took my car in to get the front right wheel checked after I noticed a slow leak.
They got back to me and said the tyre cannot be repaired due to a leak in the sidewall, and that I need to buy a brand new tyre.
it’s a Toyo AT2 and has low km’s on it and was wondering what are my options? I...
What are the other options? I dont have the gear to powdercoat so cant do that DIY. Is it worth the money to get it professionally powder coated? Or will a DIY spray paint job with a glossy black look alright?
Hey guys,
Im wanting to repaint my black bullbar and going to try do it myself.
Looking for some advice on whether I should take it back to bare metal first then do a primer and paint? or would it be better to just sand and roughen up the current paint?
Ive actually already started taking it...
Hi,
Just serviced my car at Nissan and they’re quoting 1450 to repair a leak at the timing cover gasket.
Is this reasonably priced? Is this something you can DIY? Is it simply just a gasket seal that needs to be replaced?
thanks
