    Possible SA meet Bendelby station

Hey Matt, I’d be keen to join for a few nights (depending on work it may not be all 4). Be good to catch up again and do a few SA tracks.

    Border Track SA/Vic advice please

Yes if you continue on Border track (past Shaugh track) you will drive through the clay section of border track and eventually intersect with Emu flat rd which is the end of the track. You can turn right onto Emu flat rd (air up your tyres) and drive back to Adelaide from there via Bordertown

    Border Track SA/Vic advice please

Hey mate. Have done the track a few times and it can vary in difficulty although it’s usually pretty easy (even more so after rain). 4wd SA have also put rubber matting on some of the larger dunes (for some bizarre reason). I always take my own wood as it is not a very heavily wooded area and...

    Good Tracks - Wilmington, SA?

Bridle track is nearby which begins near Melrose and offers some nice views of the gulf. Other than that you will need to venture a little further afield to find any tracks.. I.e Down to Orrororo area (Bendleby ranges), or around Quorn (Horseshoe rim etc). If you like bushwalking the Mt...

    Googs track vehicle requirements.

Have done the track (south to north) and would say having a few inches of lift would be desirable with the amount of Wombat holes on the larger dunes. Having said that you will still get through with correct tyre pressure , just may need to spend some extra time on the shovel and having a few...

Arden Hills - Spontaneous long weekend trip

Hey guys, It seems very rare that trips are put up on 4X4 earth these days so I thought I would throw something up. I am thinking of doing a little weekend trip up to Arden Hills just outside of Quorn leaving Adelaide Saturday 7th of March (Adelaide Cup long weekend). Will most likely camp in...

All for Adventure message about rubbish...

Whenever I take my 4 year old son camping we do a Rubbish walk and fill up a bag to take out with us. I’m past complaining about the grubs, but I feel We all play a part in educating the next and current generation. Hopefully this sort of video with celebrities using their platform to cut...

    Thoughts on a V6 2nd Gen 4Runner

I used to have one with the 3vze V6 engine. Was a pretty reliable car for me, sold it with around 270000 on the clock. They can be prone to cracking the alloy head but I didn't have that issue. As others have stated they are a bit thirsty, I had a second fuel tank in mine which was used...

Is a 4WD Trip leader legally responsible for the conduct of a 4WD Trip?

It's a shame this is even being discussed really. You go out wheeling as a bunch of mates with a common interest. You look out for each other and hopefully nothing goes wrong. How is it any different to going down the skate park with your friends as a youngster? Do you drop into the half pipe...

thoughts on the 3 litre diesel GU Patrol

I have a RD28 in my GU. They aren't a bad engine but don't expect a racecar.. Main things to watch are : take care of the cooling system as they are prone to cracking heads if let overheat. Also watch the harmonic balancer doesn't some loose as they can spin on the crankshaft and chew the key...
