    Any licenced amateur operators here?

    Thanks Peter, I think I will earth mine like that. I have heard of operators when they are set up, using a squid pole and clipping a length of wire via alligator clips from the top of the whip to the top of the pole. Apparently it makes quite a difference on 80 and 40. Cheers, Paul.

    Hi Peter, Thanks for the reply. I did find this diagram for the Barrett 910. If the autotune won't talk to any amateur sets and tune all frequencies without stopping and starting then I might have to resort to a separate antenna for ham use. 73's Paul
