i just changed a set of toyo OPAT's on a mates hilux he got 90k out of them and they still had a tiny bit of meat on them and he loves them the yoko are good aswell but dont seem to get the same millage but both would be a good choice
you can get wet but you have to make sure your air intake is well above the water line as sucking in water isnt very nice as i found out a few months ago but i come out of it very luck nothing bent
not sure on costs but any vehicle gas fitter will do the job its finding a good one that is hard i only know of one fella down my way that seems be be any good with the gas everyone else we have used has never been able to tune them right they keep coming back worse then they were???

i have noticed that my pump is now leaking along with a few other things :mad:
is there a common place that these pumps seem to leak from and are they easy to put a kit through them its 2.8 hilux
its pretty easy stuff i went not that long ago with a couple of mates im only new to it and only had to get snatched out twice once because i took the wrong line and once cause i took on a hole i knew i wasnt gunna get through it shouldnt scare him off i even done it in the rain with highway tyres
from what i can see its black so its fuel its only when im on the gas it blows one puff of greyish smoke on start up but that is it as far as i know ill get a mate to drive it tomorrow and i will follow and see what happens
hey everyone my truck is back on the road after its drink but it seems to e sucking more diesel than it used to its about 100k less per tank i also noticed its blowin a fair bit of smoke only noticed it tonight in others head lights my air filter is clean is there any other reason this could be...
narh we dragged it behind a mates ute the battery ended up dying on me so she goes now ill change the oil at work again tomorrow but i noticed alot of oil that seems to be coming from the compressor wheel on my turbo does anyone know wat the go there is it is a fair ammount
well she is home ive pulled the glow plugs out and turned by hand no problems then cranked with battery no problems, glow plugs back in and turns but sounds slugish and wont fire any ideas??????
if it the worst it will be a full rebuild the boys are towin it back from peak hill for me today so once i pull the glow plugs out and turn it to squirt the water out ill know how bad it is if its stuffed ill start thinkin about wat to do then i have a few things in mind but im hoping she is...
well i think i might have killed my 2.8 on the weekend im not 100% sure yet as i had to leave it 500k from home till this weekend.
if the out come is its had it should i stick with rebuilding the 2.8 or go with something else with a bit more punch??????

ive got a 2.8 turbo diesel and its no racing car but does the job great around town its very good on the juice around 10ltrs per hundred ks but on the highway at over 100kph it uses a bit more because its on constant boost
