    Custom Drawer Setup

@billolga, I am with Big Matt on that, I think that your set up is fantastic. How much did it cost you in materials and how long did it take you to build it up. @Big Matt I too have had enough of packing stuff in boxes etc. What type of construction are you going with on your draws?

Loading track files from 4x4Earth into OziExplorer

Once you have loaded the track into Ozi you can see all the individual points of your track if you open the track control tool on your tool bar. The track control is a tool with a red dot and next to the dot is a rectangle box with 3 dots in it, or alternatively, press "Alt T". Once in Track...

Loading track files from 4x4Earth into OziExplorer

You need to have a certain number of points before you can successfully down load a track. From memory it used to be 10 points which you could earn various ways. Look in your workshop to see what your current points balance is. It also tells you what you need to do to earn those points.

    Custom Drawer Setup

I am about to start building a set my self and would like to hear some others opinions as to whether to build them from steel or wood or a bit of both. Originally I planned to use marine ply but a steel fabrication may be the order of the day.

    Lithgow area

Totally agree. I too have a foot on both camps and only head out to Newnes Plateau through the middle of the week for fear of meeting either a crazy 4WDer or mad motor cyclist (registered or not). When we first started driving around the Plateau we hardly came across another sole, now the area...

    Australia Day 2011

A reasonably quiet area to camp up on the Newnes Plateau is at S33 20.763' E150 17.333'. It is between the two Deep Pass tracks and only sees a small of Motor Cycle traffic from time to time and some of the more series 4WDers. Check it out on Google Earth and see if that is what you want.

    Lithgow area

I think you are talking about the Fernbrook Track. It is locked off as it passes through the old Fernbrook Colliery site which is now Endless Belts property. All the gates are closed and locked. There are also a couple of other tracks and they too are through no go zones. Here I think you are...

    GPX File

Hi Beva's Lux, If you are not big into the posts you could also download a track file of your own to show us something you thought was special. The added bonus is if it is a track complete with a GPS track file you will get 10 points. Hope that helps, and enjoy the site. :) Stilllookin.

    Deau National Park

G'day Steven, There are a couple of nice locations in the park for a bit of a swim, primarily around the Deua River. There are a couple of nice circuits through the park, some with water crossings, some steep ascents/descents and lots of really nice spots. A word of warning though, it does...

    bendethera valley

Hi all, We have been down there many times and we were unaware that there was something called the "mud pit", so what is it you refer to as the "mud Pit"? Certainly it wouldn't be some thing you would have to drive through over and over and give the NPWS an excuse to shut the area down now...

    4WDriving near Sydney

Gidday Grit, Oh dear, you have made us (chuckle chuckle). Did you find us on the GC site or the GCA site? Are you a cacher as well and if so what is your alias. Like your self and Tats have described in another thread we too have watched the demise of our beloved plateau over the years, but...

    4WDriving near Sydney

Lithgow, not that far from Sydney G’day ya all, We have been watching this thread with interest for a while now and it makes for an interesting read. Firstly we have to agree with what has been said about the possibilities for exploring to Sydney’s west, up in the Blue Mountains. Secondly we...

    Show us your local tracks

We agree whole heartily with you on this one about ego's, but the gate is left open more often than not of late. In years gone by before the gate was installed it was never too difficult to get through if you took the correct lines, but as the years went on and the area became more popular to...

    Whats this about gembrook

Hi Michael1223 why would you want to do that anyhow? Its a pointless exercise and its this kind of behavior that causes the authority's to lock us out of our favorite 4x4 tracks and areas . There is many fun tracks which do not require you to run back and forth through these wallows and which...

    Track conditions NSW

Hi there Have you checked the NPWS website under the Blue Mountains section. Under closures it claims that Limeburners is closed for rehabilitation until further notice (so for how long, who knows). I am glad you asked the question as we were going to head down there for an overnighter...

    Newns / Glow Worn tunnels

Hi 80Landcruiser, Sorry about taking so long to reply, its just we have been so busy. In regards to your inquiry about the coach road, yes its true that it runs parallel with the old railway for a little way. We have not been down there for a couple of years now as you can't drive all that far...

    Newns / Glow Worn tunnels

Hi 80Landcruiser, We went from the Zig Zag's Clarance station to the Glow Worm Tunnel, and numerous other places on the Newnes Plateau a couple of days ago, and we think it is well worth the visit. The Glow Worm Tunnel is a walk of about 1 to 2 KM each way from the car park and it is quite a...
