    Steal away mate. It's a cheap way to hold it in place securely. No issues with it yet. I've done the same with the battery box in the front.

    I'd recommend it. Bearings are cheap and very strong and the drawer moves easily even when loaded up. Drawer runners that are the right length and capable of high loads seem to be $150+.

    Thanks @tankbloke . I inset some aluminium bar into the base to spread the load and bolted this through the floor with nylock nuts on the end. Two bolts for each bar. I have three in total. One in the side storage, one in the rear battery storage and the one you can see below in the main drawer...
