but ive seen how much stuff you put in the xj with all the extra space the troopy had you would have been carring 4 or 5 tonne more gear :D:D:D:D

i will only buy diesels for the simple reason if if i get low on fuel i can role into a property/station and get some fuel gas is not so easy alot of propertys carry petrol as well but they mainly use diesel plus the petrol will degrade on a property quicker than diesel will on the other...

my old road tyres where better than my current mud tyres in sand as i said its all about staying ontop not digging

i wonder if chucky has ever even looked at a jeep other than in pictures after being in the factory you would think that he would have seen the electronic dash that adorns my wrangler or the fact that i can fit my whole camp in the wrangler including canvas center pole tent queen swag kitchen 3...

in sand i start at 10psi that gives me the ability to go lower and low range is deffinatly the go less luggy tyres are better as they will float not dig i think you would have found less pressure you would have done it easy with the set up you describe in sand its all about surface area the...

i got rid of my stauns for an ez deflator i find for me it is a lot better product for the different types of wheeling i do i use different pressures and it is much quicker than useing 1 or 2 stauns

if you want a serious off roader to play in why not look at a tj or cj and have the patriot for the family tourer they will still carry a family but are extremely capable and yu can get them for around the same price as an xj

thats well said the thing with landrover and jeep is they have heritage you can look at a 2008 wrangler and se simalarites to a 1941 mb the same with a defender show me one thing that shows heritage in a pootrol or landlooser there is none

the fact the the patriot is a ifs and the xj is solid front is enough ifs is for soft roaders (no affence) but the solid front will alow for more articulation and while your wheels are on the ground things are safer the low range is another huge factor the patriot is a fantastic little vehicle...

i have owned 4 cruisers a patrol and a pathfinder and you could not swap me any of them for my wrangler it is the best vehicle of the lot by a long way and unless you have also owned all of the above then you dont have a comparison

yeah i got 2 centerpole tents a smaller one for me and the missus and a larger one when the kid comes easy to set up easy to pack up i have a camper but use these more often

its because of the flack we cop from the "main stream brands" owners that we do keep to our selves but when it comes to our brand we are a proud bunch so stop makeing excuses and give us jeep owners a wave when you see us :D:D:D

actually if you check the wrangler has the best resale value of any 4wd and has had for the last 6 years as a percentage from original purchase price so you might need those jerrycans :eek:
