    I found a thread on page 15 of 16 of the Hilux forum written 10 yrs ago. The thread talks about a product that is supplied by Toyota to reduce this intake noise. I will spend the next few days reading through the rest of the pages I may not need to ask anymore questions Thanks again everybody

    Thanks for the interest The engine is a 5le I have already replaced all the foam in the snorkel. The old rubbers had perished and leaking.
