Without wanting to spark a major debate. Any thoughts on taking the Karavan (read Camper Trailer) on the CSR? I took a smaller trailer (Aussie Swag) on the French Line in the Simpson Desert with no issues. The CSR on all account is easier albeit longer and more isolated.

Just an update for you guys interested in our CSR trip - We have changed our plans to do the northern section of the CSR only - joining the CSR via Gary Jct Road and heading north from there. I'm guessing that changes things for you. I've sent an email to Grumpy to make contact. G

Just a quick note - The plan is to be onsite to get some pics of the eclipse that traverses the top of WA on May 10, 2013.

The Plan is to come down the west cost. Spend some time in the South West corner then come back home via the Nullarbor.
