    1HZ turbo setup

That 600 was pre-turbo so you can minus about 150 of that for post-turbo temps. 715 deg C is the metallurgical temperature that the piston heads will start to over heat. I decided to get the egt installed pre-turbo so I can keep an accurate eye on the combustion temps as I thought it more...

    1HZ turbo setup

Yeah heard good things about Gturbo. I'm pretty happy with mine at 12-14PSI, most of the time it sits under 10PSI when cruising. Not thinking about a replacement yet mate ;) but I hear ya!! I haven't replaced the bottom end bearings yet but it's definitely worth considering. It's served well so...

    1HZ turbo setup

Sounds like it's gong well mate!! The number one rule is to have the egt installed and the second is to use it. If you do those 2 things and you've got a good engine to start with I reckon you'll get a good life out of a turbo'd 1hz

    1HZ turbo setup

Hey Jerry, Best thing I've done mate. Just finished a 25-30k 6 month trip travelling the top end and it didn't skip a beat, done about 65-70k since the turbo install. Hard to imagine travelling all those km's stuck behind a caravan or truck and not being able to overtake!!

    Rear Drawers - steel frame/3 drawers/telescopic/fridge slide

Yeah it's an extra 60kg that wasn't there before but I couldn't find any 3 drawer plus fridge slide setups on the market any lighter.

    Rear Drawers - steel frame/3 drawers/telescopic/fridge slide

Here's my custom rear drawer setup. Took about 7 full days for a newbie welder like me but it's all working spot on. I wanted a heavy duty setup that could handle hours of corrugations but still being light weight as possible. I also wanted a telescopic drawer just high enough for a 3 burner gas...

Hi all Just wondering what the wet season has been like up there and how long the waterfalls and water holes are expected to be around for. I heard last year there was an average wet season and most areas were was fairly dry by June/July. Cheers Shane

Mate don't be concerned when in low range with the cross country top mount IC. There is a massive thermo fan on the underside sucking hard. The highest temps I've seen have been doing 110km/hr up decent hills in 5th, I only drop back to 4th and 100 when temps get above 600 (pre-turbo). Low range...

    Decision Time,Peoples Opinions Please

Hmm tough question mate. I've weighed up the options myself and i think the most important consideration is reliabilty and not just the motor. How does your 105 go towing with regards to egts? If egts are safe I'd stick with it mate, you rebult it with turbo spec parts where possible and with...

    Pod Trailers

Hey Warren, thanks for the reply. These trailers look good as they are waterproof and dust proof unlike the Stockman pod trailers. Couple of questions about these trailers: 1. Can the trailer be modified to take 285/75/R16 tyres? 2. What type of suspension do they have? 3. Do they come...
