    Hi Dawzy you may need a vacum gauge to test how much vacum is at the diafram set up on the transfer case if it got plenty of vacum on both lines then you will need a vac pump to test the diaframe in side of the housing to see if it is oks or has retired it mat need to be replaced not a big job...

    I think it is ment to be LSD oil as it is a bit thinner than normal 80/90 or I think it is GL4 not GL5 or something like that but it is a little bit lighter than normal gear oil you can use normal gear oil for a topup purpes only not for a full change off
