Trail Track 4x4 Club Inc

Club Description
The Trail Track 4X4 Club Inc. is based in Albury Wodonga in southern NSW and first formed in July 2009. We formed in response to interest from the local community for a club that would cater for those interested primarily in four-wheel driving, but also other outdoor activities including fishing, camping, and motor bike riding. Our group is a family based group which helps people come together to get out and enjoy the bush in a safe and relaxed manner. We have almost as many children as we do adults and our trips always involve a number of children having as much fun as the adults. We like to think that we are giving a new generation the opportunity to learn about our environment, by simply getting them out and enjoying it.
Our committee consists of eleven enthusiastic executive members lead by Chairman Dan Muller. Our 4WD trips have included such places as the Flinders Ranges, Tasmania, the Simpson Desert, Canberra, the National 4WD Show in Melbourne (as part of the all terrain display), and trips into the Australian High Country. Our AGM is always a highlight as it is combined with our sponsor trade displays, a charity sausage sizzle and a travel ramp to test vehicle articulation. All money raised is donated to the Albury Base Hospital Children’s Ward. Other highlights in our short history include the running of a round of the Engel Winch Challenge Series in 2009, at Woomargama in the South West Slopes near Albury. This event was well attended with the organisation of the event receiving very positive feedback.
In the future the club plans on running an extreme all terrain competition at Woomargama and has also discussed the possibility of hosting a rock crawling reunion competition at Walbundrie (approx 45minutes west of Albury) for those drivers who competed in OzRock and WeRock. The Club aims to run a trip each month depending on the interest of members who are actively involved in the planning and running of these events. Our proposed trips for 2012 will be to the Little Desert in Victoria, the Simpson Desert, and short and extended trips into the High Country. Each year, we run snow trips into the High Country which always very popular.
Our Club is open to all types of 4WD vehicles. We have a strong safety policy when it comes to participating in activities with members expected to carry their own recovery gear and we are also able to provide informal training to members on use of recovery equipment and procedures and other aspects of 4WDing.
Our meetings our held at the SS& A Club in Albury on the third Wednesday of every month and anyone interested in encouraged to attend. Alternatively we can be found on our 4WD Club forum at www.trailtrack4x4.com
