About Us:
History:
The Manning Valley-Great Lakes 4x4 Club was formed on the 4th November, 1986 by a few dedicated people sharing a common interest in four wheel driving and camping. Our members are of all ages and family oriented, we still have five of our original members active in the club.

Fully surveyed trips are usually held on the last weekend of every month. New members are placed between two experienced members to help on the trip. Trips range from one day trips, to two and three day camping trips and are classified easy, medium or hard to suit all tastes. Locations range from Bulahdelah in the south, Barrington in the west, Oxley Wild Rivers to the north and more. Social trips are also arranged, varying from dinner out to boat cruisers and barbeques.
Objectives:
To promote 4wd touring as an excellent family pastime, to educate members on the correct use of their vehicles and to respect the environment. To provide trip and social activities in a supportive and friendly manner.

We have four members who help train new members in the various techniques of four wheel driving and recovery skills.
