Platypus Flat

Campsite Description

Platypus Flat is on the banks of the Nymboider River. This part of the river is a flat, calm, pool that is a few hundered meters long with small rapids at each end. This makes it a great place for a swim or a paddle. A bit further downstream the river starts to get a bit more wild which makes Platypus Flat a popular starting point for Whitewater Rafting tours.

In good weather 2wd access is possible with care. However, some of the roads can very quickly become a slippery, clay, nightmare at the first sign of rain.
