Micalong Creek Reserve (Wee Jasper)

Campsite Description

Micalong Creek is the most southern of the Wee Jasper reserves and in my opinion the nicest of the camp sites.
I camped there with a small group the weekend 23-25 November and had a ball. Seems we weren't the only ones with the idea to go camping on this particular weekend as there was a ton of people there, however, that said due to the size of the camp site we didn't feel crowded at all.

Although it lacks enclosed showers, the toilets are clean and river water is readily accessible for boiling. The river was fantastic, providing a relief from the heat.

Basic necessities such as bread, milk and ice can be purchased from the pub as you come through Wee Jasper.

Again like Billy Grace Reserve it is highly recommended, for $7 per person per night it is hard to beat.

The picture was taken in August when we travelled out for a look at Micalong from Billy Grace Reserve, not many people and the place looked amazing.

* The reserve is dog friendly too!
