Kilcowera Station on the Dowling Track is a great place for camping if you like the outback and are after a bit of quiet time with family and friends. There is one campground around the shearers quarters and 2 bush ones, the one at Cardenyabba Lagoon is fantastic and the other is out near Lake Wyara. Lots to see and do with self drive tours, birds, wildlife, bushwalking, yabbying and camp oven cooking. There has been good rain in the district over Christmas and the New Year and the country has been transformed into a green oasis once more. After 9 years of drought all the water and grass and birdlife is pretty easy on the eye! The shearers quarters campground is very well appointed with extensive lawns, shrubs and trees.
