J.R. Skipworth Reserve

Campsite Description

J. R. Skipworth Reserve is located 7 kilometres out of Jamieson on the Mansfield Woods Point Road heading towards Woods Point on the right hand side of the road.   It is 300 metres past Poletti Track.

The campsite is split into two sections, one traditional type of campground with open areas, fireplaces, toilets and a central undercover gazebo.  The other section is what I would call 'bush camping' and comprises a number of tracks through the bush with smaller (maybe one or two campers) camping areas set out.

The entire campsite / reserve runs along the Goulburn River

The site would suit upwards of 70 or 80 campsites easily, probably more and is very picturesque.

Easy distance from both the Jamieson and Kevington hotels and all facilities in Jamieson including a general store, petrol (no gas), a mechanic, police station, caravan park and other general facilities.
