Fletcher Creek

Campsite Description

This place is about forty or so km north of Charters Towers on the sealed Gregory Development Rd.
Fletcher Creek is a very popular stopover for the Grey Nomads in the winter time but can be a nice cool stopover for a night or more at any time of the year. It is a quite large rest area beside a permanently running creek. Ideal for cooling off in the summer. It has basic council cleaned toilets but no fresh usable water available. There are a few covered picnic tables and lots of room to find a decent camp spot. Apart from toilets and a few rubbish bins there are no facilities here so be self sufficient. Charters Towers is about a 30 min drive away if you need supplies.
