The Einasleigh River Camp is on the Georgetown-Mt Garnet Road approx 50km North of The Lynd and offers a great spot to for that overnight camp. This is a bush camp and you will need to be totally self-sufficient. There are no facilities and resources are limited - fire wood is getting scarce and you may have to collect fire wood along the way (supplies are within 1km each way from the camp site). This part of the Einasleigh River is very restful and there appears to be fish for the catching. I really like this spot, but I would not recommend for extended stays. Arriving mid afternoon is ideal to take in the spot and do a spot of fishing. As with other sites in North Queensland, be Croc Wise and be sure to clean up after yourself.
