If you like your camp sites undeveloped, well this one is for you.  

"Canns Camp Creek campground is the only camping area in the national park. The campground is relatively undeveloped, although a pit toilet is provided. When dry, the campground is accessible to all vehicle types with care. After rain, access is recommended for four-wheel-drive vehicles only. During the wet season, between December and April, the road can be closed."

When it has been dry in the area, don't count on water being available. 

The turn off is at a rest area on the Flinders HWY about 80 km north-east of Hughenden and 140 km south-west of Charters Towers.  You can pick up the turn off spot by the communications tower.  The camp site is 10km in from Flinders HWY along a single lane track.
