Archer Creek rest area is a nice convenient rest area about 14 km west of Ravenshoe at the bottom of the Atherton Tablelands.
It is easily accessible to everyone but has just basic flush toilets as facilities.
The area is beside the main road but there is not a lot of traffic on the road after dark. It is large enough to handle larger groups or convoys.
There is a nice fresh flowing creek that flows beside the rest area that is great for cooling off in the summer.
There is reasonable shopping at Ravenshoe with two good pubs that serve great meals.
