Lawn Hill National Park is near by and is a great place to visit, but I wouldn't want to camp there as the campsites can be very hot and there is no very little shade.  Adel's Grove offers a pleasant place to stop and camp while giving you the opportunity to visit the wonders of Lawn Hill National Park.

The night we were there, the travelling magistrate had stopped over and the sergeant serenaded the sun set with a couple of tunes from his bag pipes. 

While there is no fishing at Adel's Grove, there are a few spots up the river where the night's dinner can be caught.  Just don't gut and scale the fish in Adel's Grove!
