Did the standard shocks have enough travel in them?
Yes they seemed fine.
Looks good man. I fitted 285/70/17s to my standard ranger and they dont scrub at all yet.
do those rims have a different offset to the standard XLT rims?
do u have a before and after pic from similar angle, looks good!
Hey Dudes , Ive got 285/70/17 FEDREAL COURAGIA MTS on my PX with 2"LIFT , no dramas at all with clearance under flex etc , I find the feds a great tyre also top price , as per speedo query mine at 100 on speedo actually 103,so pretty close .
Hey what are the specs for the rims?
thats just stock 17" rims
The stock offset is +50
Hi did you get the Dobinson full suspension kit ? We want to lift the suspension on our PX Ranger but without having to buy the full kit
Buy a full kit, the stock shocks are not great and you really need lengthened shocks with lifted springs.
thanks mac_man_luke we'll do that
Hi Guys, I have a PX XLT Ranger, does anybody know if 16" alloy's fit? Quickfit told me no, XLT's have bigger brakes but I don't believe that.
Has anybody tried to put 16's on their PX XLT Ranger?
16s fit fine. same brakes etc as XL
Thanks Mac Man. I thought that was the case but got duped by the shop... Bought a set of 17's, but I need a spare so at least I know I can just get any old 16" as a spare (with a decent + offset anyway).
Rims and tyres
I have put a set of Allied Black Mumba's on mine (17x8 + 30) with 285x70s on them, I have a 2" suspension lift and it looks good, sticks outsite the fender about 2cm and does not rub at all
285 70 17
have you had any trouble with this size tyre on you ranger yet, am just about to buy some bfg a/t 285/70/17 to put on the standard 17 inch alloy on my px ranger and am hearing alot of different stories to weather they will rub anything would love to here the real story with this particular tire the bfg a/t
I have had them on for over 12 months. Never rubbed once. The tyre size is not extreme fora vehicle this size. The wheel wells are huge compared to other dual cabs.
Hi Timothy, are those 2nd set of pics with the 25mm spacers already on? Cheers
